Makita Kitchen Bar is all about bringing people together. Our recipe for a good time is to use only the best possible ingredients, provide exceptional service and offer a fun and relaxed atmosphere for you to enjoy with friends and families. 

Makita, which means “due north” in Japanese, is appropriately located at the north end of the Glebe. We are very excited to be a part of this community and to share our beautiful space.

At Makita you can expect to enjoy "New Asian" dishes. Our chefs explores ingredients from Korea, Japan and Southeast Asia with locally sourced suppliers to create innovative food creations. 

Our menu consists of small plates, main courses and late night snacks. Our wine list is simple yet well balanced with a focus on sake. Our beer selection is eclectic and our cocktails unique and lively.
